Mahatma Gandhi district in America

On the 141st birth year of Mahatma Gandhi, America has honored the great leader by renaming the south western part of Houston, Texas. The 7 year long demand of the Indians/Asians living there has finally been fulfilled. The city Mayor Annise parker announced the change of name today. It was really a moment of joy for the Indian-Americans living in Houston since their perseverance has finally paid off. This particular area is also popularly known as 'Little India' due to the heavy concentration of Indians and South Asians in this particular region and many Asian shops are present in this place.
