Road widening projects in Ambattur

The state highway road that connects Muggapair west with Ambattur Industrial estate is now being widened after the area has been declared as a part of Corporation of Chennai. But it comes at a cost. It is likely that more than 15 trees would be cut in this process and the bad news is that, no tree saplings are being planted as a replacement which means that Chennai too is following the path of Bangalore where the trees are now being cut at the will of civic corporation.
